Flexible from the start
New students can begin with a free first lesson, and enrollment stays month to month with no semester minimums or long-term contracts. Eligible families can also put Utah Fits All Scholarship funds toward lessons.

Questions About Music Lessons
What age should my child start music lessons?
There is no single perfect age to begin music lessons. Readiness depends on the child, the instrument and their ability to stay engaged during a lesson. Younger students often begin with instruments such as piano, ukulele or violin, while some instruments may be easier once a child is a little older. Our team can help recommend a good starting point based on your child’s age, interests and experience.
Do you offer music lessons for adults?
Yes. Our schools teach kids, teens and adults, including complete beginners and adults returning to an instrument after many years. Lessons are personalized to your experience level, musical interests and goals, whether you want to learn for fun, improve an existing skill or prepare to perform.
How much do music lessons cost?
Private music lessons are $37.50 for a 30-minute lesson, with a one-time $45 registration fee. Lessons are month to month, so families and adult students can get started without committing to a full semester or long-term contract.
Are music lessons private or group?
Most of our music instruction is one-on-one so the teacher can focus on the student’s individual goals, pace and learning style. Select locations also offer group music programs and classes. Group lesson availability, age ranges and schedules vary by school.
Do we need an instrument before the first lesson?
Not always. Requirements vary by instrument, and some schools have instruments available for use during lessons. Once regular practice begins, your teacher can help recommend an appropriate instrument, size or equipment for home practice based on the student’s age, experience and goals.
Can siblings or parents take lessons at the same time?
Often, yes. Because our schools teach multiple instruments and have multiple instructors, families may be able to schedule different lessons during the same general time period. Contact your nearest school and the team can help coordinate available lesson times for your family.
Do you accept the Utah Fits All Scholarship?
Yes. Our schools accept the Utah Fits All Scholarship, the state program that gives K–12 Utah residents up to $8,000 per year toward approved educational services — music lessons included — so eligible families can put those funds toward lessons here.
